ABOUT THE HAMMOND INDIANA SPORTS HALL OF FAME

The Hammond Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1987 to honor individuals for their noteworthy contributions to Hammond’s rich sports heritage. Inductees are former athletes, coaches, referees/officials/umpires, media representatives, boosters/volunteers and others who have contributed to Hammond sports in a noteworthy manner. 

Displays of each induction class, containing photos and career highlights of each inductee plus other noteworthy moments in Hammond sports history, are mounted on the concourse around the gymnasium of the Hammond Civic Center. The Civic Center is located at 5825 Sohl Ave., Hammond, IN 46320. Guests are invited to visit and view the Hammond Sports Hall of Fame display at no charge.
